Molly's ninth birthday party (Mohinder's loft, NYC)
She had arrived in New York City a couple of days early to buy the supplies various people had recommended to set up the birthday party. It had been hard not to get distracted by all the people and buildings (it was almost as fascinating as New New York), but thankfully, Mohinder had been willing to help - even offer his loft as the place to hold the party.

Halloween eve arrived quickly enough. Jenny stood in the center of the room, dressed as Supergirl to match Molly's idea of Batgirl. Although she still didn't understand the whole comic book idea, the man in the store had assured her it would be fitting. She surveyed her work and beamed.

The loft was decorated with fake spiderwebs and ghouls and cute little black bats and spiders. In some corners were gravestones with buckets of candy on top of the small mounds. A CD of Halloween tunes played, alternating with groans and creaks and cackles. A witch and a broom hung from the ceiling right near a large banner that exclaimed "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLY!"

It looked good. The cake, in the middle of a table filled with all sorts of junk food and non-alcoholic drinks, also read Happy Birthday Molly, and stood on a platter as the centerpiece. A nearby table was set up for gifts; Jenny had hers placed in one corner - a pocket watch styled three-dimensional map of the known universe.

Everything was ready to go.

Molly hugged him back just as tightly, never wanting to let go. However, if she was going to participate in the party Jenny set out to make for her, she'd have to.

Pulling back some with a permanent smile etched on her face, Molly beamed at his compliment, "Thank you! Did you see Jenny's? She's Supergirl. Batgirl and Supergirl work together to defeat the bad guys like The Joker and stuff."

Mohinder set Molly back on her feet, so as to better admire her costume.

"I saw Jenny's, yes. You both look fantastic." He gave her a proud and honest smile.
