OOM: Bart and Umbeka!
"Sorry, buddy, looks like I won't be needing that coat after all."

Jenny flashes the bewildered man behind the counter a bright grin as she finally walks into the outer clothing store in Umbeka's spaceport. It only took a little more than a week, but if you ask her, it's totally been worth it.

Just look at the really cute guy she's dragging in behind her!

"Going to try a different form of fun instead," she continues. "Those hot springs that sign outside was bragging about! Where are they?"

He points in some vague direction that's good enough for Jenny. Still holding tightly on to Bart's hand, she walks back out the door and in to the busy space station.

Welcome to another planet, Bart!

She beams when she turns her head and sees Bart beside her. Jenny comes to a quick stop, intercepting him with a tackle of her own. In her case, it involves wrapping her arms around his neck and wrapping her legs around his waist.

Oh. Skin. Huh.

Her attack falters mid-giggle.

The narration will hold off on any sparks of electricity jokes or whatever, even though water is conductive, and even though it's really appropriate given at least one half of this couple.

Regardless.

He compensates quickly to avoid falling head over heels backwards (ahem), which clearly means Jenny should get a kiss.

Logic? What does logic have to do with it?

There is no logic because, unlike the other half of the narration, this half isn't afraid of making electricity jokes. Because Jenny feels like she's been electrified right now and would, in all, be rather surprise it hasn't left a mark on her like it has on Bart.

She kisses him back, legs lowering from around his waist to thread with his in the water instead. This time, she attempts to deepen the kiss.

This would be one of those perfect moments.

Except.

Except the room's just gone dark, and an alarm's gone off, and a host of Judoon have just entered through any doors available, bearing weapons and explaining, quite simply and plainly, that there is No Need To Worry, but All Humanoids must Come Quietly By Choice Or By Force.

Bart tightens his grip on Jenny and starts searching for possible exits.

It is unfortunate how all perfect moments come to an end. And how tense they both become not for reasons of previous activity but because of the situation they've now found themselves in.

Like Bart, Jenny too has begun looking for exists. She doesn't recognise the aliens, but she does recognise their manner. Military or police or something of that sort. Whatever is going on, it isn't good.

"Do you see one?" she whispers, eyes darting around. "Has to be some way out."

It only has to be unguarded for a second. Just a second.

"Hold on," he says as he scoops her into his arms, pushing with everything he has to get them out of the water and to the door in time. It would work perfectly, except...

Except the Judoon are, let's say, affecting a few 'terrain changes' to mark off the area of quarantine, and his foot catches on a bit of uneven ground, stretching the ligaments way farther than they're meant to go.

Bart lands on hands and knees, the impact only slightly distracting from the ARGH ANKLE PAIN and the Judoon that have quickly begun to surround him.

If Bart was any other individual, Jenny would insist on rescuing herself. But he's, well, he's Bart and there aren't any arguments at all. She just holds on tightly until she finds herself flying. Jenny tucks her legs in and lands on the floor nearby, tumbling into a stand.

Her eyes open wide when she sees the Judoon surrounding Bart. Immediately, all of her father's hard taught lessons disappear and she starts to look around for a weapon she can use.

They can't take Bart.

If he understood what was being said, he would hear: "You will be catalogued.

And "Category: unidentified."

And "You will be taken to a holding cell and catalogued."

Before he has a chance to get over the shock of his ankle, someone's got a needle in his neck (primary-type sedative, calculated for approximate body weight and presumed species, plus a little bit to be on the safe side) and then it doesn't matter what anybody's saying.

Jenny watches in horror, primarily left alone as the Judoon go about their business. Crouching by a rock, she remains relatively unseen. It takes all her will not to cry out or to go rushing at the aliens to try and free Bart.

She wants to. She wants to so very much. It's her inheritance talking, the soldier in her that says its kill or be killed.

We always have a choice.

With furious tears in her eyes, Jenny forces herself to look away. Dad's right in the end, like he always seems to be. There is another way.

First step: getting back to the locker room and collecting her stuff.

"Hold on, Bart."
