They were two girls who have seen their share of monsters, nightmares and other things that children of all ages should never witness; trauma doesn't discriminate against age, though, and Molly and Claire were prime examples for that. Life went on and here the two girls were, smiling and celebrating a holiday that many enjoyed, both young and old.
Molly let out a giggle before jumping up and down a few times, her face still lit up like a Christmas tree. "Nine! That means it's only nine more years before I'm old enough to move out, vote and have my own car!" She declared as her blue eyes danced with wonder, throwing her hands in the air in emphasis.
