OOM: Jenny's room, Milliways

[morning after this discussion]

She has been awake for hours by the time the sun begins to peak through the windows. As it turns out, humans require a lot more sleep than Timeladies. Which, if you asked Jenny, isn't such a bad thing. It has, in fact, given her ample time to instead think on their pre-sleeping activities as she found herself in and out of Bart's arms during the night. Her speedster's warm body made a much better blanket than the one he stole from her.

So: lots of time to think about human relationships and how fun sex actually did turn out to be fun, pesky rubber aside. Enough time even that Jenny has developed a conclusion: it happens to be almost - almost as amazing as running. At the very least, in her expert opinion, experimenting was good enough to try again.

But not now. Because now, she decides, with the sun up, it's an acceptable time to start poking Bart awake. Giggling, Jenny gently prods his stomach, watching him with happy eyes as his chest rises up and down.

Patience, clearly, is no where to be found in her psyche.

Humans really do sleep a lot. And that? Does not account for teenagers, who would probably sleep as much as 2/3 of the day or more if allowed.

And that's not getting into pre-wake up 'just five more minutes' rituals.

Thankfully for Jenny, Bart's kind of gotten out of the habit of being a heavy sleeper.

Jenny can't help but giggle again, rolling her body up in a discarded sheet as she runs her fingers playfully through his hair.

They're at the END of the UNIVERSE. Time doesn't apply here, right?

Because.

"My room overlooks the lake. Sun's up there - however it works." She looks at him, resting her chin on his chest and looking rather smug. "You've so slept enough."

If he sleeps any longer, Jenny might just about die of nerves. She might've decided that their new activities are fun and worth it, but that says nothing of Bart's decision. Or if he'll ever see her again after getting his ankle sprained or what was going on in his mind when he looked at her during the conversation with Eirene. There rally was a lot to think about in those hours.

Bart, meanwhile, is completely and utterly oblivious to such thoughts. He has QUESTIONS OF HIS OWN.

"Did you sleep at all?"

Oh yes, Jenny, he noticed your lack of sleep-ness. He's just sneaky and didn't let on.

"Five hours is the most I've ever managed," Jenny admits honestly. "I thought it was normal until..."

Yeah. Shagging Bart totally hasn't gotten rid of the blush in her cheeks when thinking of him.

"I didn't know humans slept so much longer."

He stretches and she tangles her legs in his. The breeze in the room is cold even with the sheet and his body is rather warm (and comfy, like a pillow!).

Which leads to an answer, actually. "I think my body temperature is cooler than yours. And I have two hearts, but you know that by now-" - bashful giggle- "-don't you?"

Jenny had doubts. Jenny had a lot of doubts. Sex is supposed to be for reproduction, not for recreation. And despite all the assurances she received to the otherwise, well, she is a progenated Gallifrian.

"I did!"

And it's rather clear by the awed joy in her voice that she means it.

"I liked it. I like you."

"Brilliant," she whispers, kissing his lips quickly. And while the blush is noticed, Jenny has no care to point it out.

"I guess that's another thing we have in common then, right? Humans and Gallifrians... it was all normal?"

That has to be a good thing. Jenny may be proud (okay, very very proud) of her Gallifrian heritage, but she does kind of want to keep Bart happy and around.

She blinks a few times, remembering. With a small smile on her face, Jenny glance up at Bart. "He showed me that I could be more. Dad taught me that there are alternatives to living a life full of death, I guess."

Because it sounded like she said she died, and there is no way he could've heard that right.
